Despite, Ofori Sarpong to establish new airline with the goverment
Osei Kwame Despite and his partner, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, have reportedly joined the fray to work with the government to establish a new home-based carrier. According to AviationGhana.com, the two businessmen have already obtained an Air Carrier Licence (ACL) under the name Ashanti Airlines.
According to the report, the duo has also submitted the necessary documents for the first phase of the regulatory processes leading to the issuance of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
The two licenses are required by Ghana’s aviation regulator, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), in order for an airline to operate in Ghana.
