Elmina Sharks Relegated From Ghana Premier League
Elmina Sharks were officially condemned to the National Division one League after their relegation from the Ghana Premier League was confirmed on Sunday.
Berekum Chelsea beat Sharks 3-0 at Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.
They were unable to maintain their Premier League status following their Championship title victory previous season, and this is the club’s first Premier League relegation.
With just three games remaining, they will have to play for pride.
Sharks, formerly Coconut Grove Sharks FC, were promoted to the top flight in 2016.
