He is your ‘father’ – Shatta Wale blasts Sarkodie for disrespecting Samini

Controversial Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall musician, has entered the ongoing feud between Sarkodie and Samini, two of Ghana’s biggest superstars.

Samini declared last Monday in a tweet in response to a fan that he would no longer work with Sarkodie.

After their earlier conversations regarding a feature, according to Samini, Sarkodie declined to respond to his messages.

He disclosed that Sarkodie stopped responding to his messages after sending him the music. Samini claimed that he felt disrespected.

In contrast, Sarkodie responded the comment in a Hitz FM interview on Tuesday, claiming that Samini’s statements must have originated from a “particular place” for which he would need more details.

“I have no control over his feeling that way,’ I said. Not necessarily because I concur with anything he says, but rather because that’s how he feels, all I can do is to say sorry,” Sarkodie said.

However, Shatta Wale is one of the few Ghanaians who believes Sarkodie might well have responded better from how he did.

According to Shatta, Samini is Sarkodie’s “father” who paved the road for him and it will always be that way; Sarkodie should keep this in mind and provide Samini the respect he deserves.

On January 28, Shatta Wale expressed his displeasure with Sarkodie’s continued disregard for musicians that had previously supported him during a Facebook Live session.

How can Samini and Sarkodie be fighting? Ask yourself why Samini and Sarkodie are fighting when they shouldn’t. Sarkodie has temporarily put Samini out of his mind because he believes he has the people.

“Hey Sarkodie, Samini be your father, forever and ever. Hey Sarkodie, Samini be your legend, icon, superstar forever and ever. Forget everything, I have a beef with him but even with that, I give him respect. Forget yourself, nonsense!” he said.

Shatta continued by expressing his displeasure with the turn of events at Hitz FM when Samini received a phone call during Sarkodie’s interview with Andy Dosty.

He pointed out that rather than defending his actions, Sarkodie ought to have shown Samini respect by remaining silent while he spoke.

Shatta added: “He (Samini) is talking to you on the radio as your father…you see what fame can cause? You guys play with everything…Samini is the guy that when he is speaking on radio, you have to shut up and listen because he has been on that forkin journey. The road he (Samini) has cleared for some of us to enjoy mustn’t be taken for granted. It is very nonsense and stupid something. It is not your fault but those 12 people in the music industry.”

Samini, a dancehall musician, previously criticized Sarkodie for being “ungrateful,” “disrespectful,” and “fake” after a Twitter follower inquired about the possibility of them working together in the studio again.

Following the disrespect from his colleague, Samini claims he no longer has any plans to collaborate on a single with rapper Sarkodie.
