Kirin Cup: Black Stars to take home $50,000 for finishing 3rd
The Black Stars received $ 50,000 as prize for finishing third in the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament in Japan.
The West African Nation defeated the Chileans 3-1 in a penalty shootout after the entire duration of the game had ended in a scoreless draw.
The Kirin Cup was organized by Japan as a preparatory competition for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which Ghana, Tunisia, and the Samurai Blues of Japan have all qualified to participate in the tourney slated for November to December 2022.
Ghana qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and are in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
