Manchester United announce Jesse Lingard departure
Manchester United have announced academy product Jesse Lingard will leave the club this summer upon the expiry of his contract.
Took to social media to confirm the departure of former Academy graduate Lingard who has served United for a number of years.
Lingard had spent over 20 years at United and had established himself in the first team following a number of loan spells.
The 29 year old follows Paul Pogba through the exit door, with the Frenchman’s departure announced earlier on Wednesday.
His departure at the end of June will bring to an end his 21-year association with the club. During that time he made 232 appearances and found the back of the net on 35 occasions.
