Modric signs one-year contract extension with Real Madrid
UEFA Champions League Real Madrid have confirmed that Luka Modric has renewed his contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The Croatian midfielder’s deal had been due to expire at the end of the month, but he has now committed to fresh terms at the Spanish Club.
Modric has become one of the great players of modern times at Santiago Bernabeu, winning five Champions League titles as well as the Ballon d’Or in 2018.
As far back as November 2021, MARCA had been reporting that Los Blancos were hoping to extend Modric‘s contract for another year. Now, they’ve got the job done and the Croatian is tied down for the coming season.
