The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has honored the election of the previous Nadowli-Kaleo Member of Parliament Alban Kingsford Bagbin with a party as he won the election for Speaker of the eighth Parliament.
In the election which took place in the Parliament House on January 6, 2021, Alban Kingsford Bagbin conquered Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by 138 votes to 136 votes individually. Only two votes brought a gap between the two applicants after what the election which transpired during the evening.
The voting turnout implies that in Ghana the Executive Power is in the possession of the New Patriotic Party and the Legislature in the possession of the National Democratic Congress.
Denoting the new equitable steps, the NDC hosted party to celebrate the win for Mr Alban Bagbin. The party was attended by leaders of the party and affiliates of the New Democratic Congress.
