Otto Addo reveals why he made seven changes in CAR Game

Black Stars Head coach Otto Addo has revealed the Motive behind the decision to make seven changes in his starting line up to face Central Africa Republic in the second game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana were held to a 1-1 draw with the Wild Beasts at the Estádio 1 de Novembro in Luanda, Angola.

Mohammed Kudus had put the Black Stars in the lead in the 17th minute before Central Africa Republic equalized through Karl Namnganda who smashed a powerful one past goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi. The game ended 1-1.

The 46 year old  in an interview explained his decision not give other players the chance to start ahead of some senior players.

“I think the team was not weak, we had a lot of ball possession, the problem was the goal we conceded because they were not made for that. We didn’t run enough behind their defence. We had injuries, others sick, some have weak legs that’s why I decided to make changes”

The Black Stars will play Angola in their next game of the qualifiers.
