Sarkodie: “I have no size when it comes to rap, just like Bob Marley has no size when it comes to reggae.”

In the middle of the controversy over Sarkodie’s contribution to Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up” remix, the renowned Ghanaian rapper has come up to assert himself as the best rapper among his compatriots.

In a recent interview with CNN Africa, Sarkodie discussed how having this opportunity has enabled him to advance his musical career.

The Ghanaian rapper has previously asserted that his effort on Bob Marley’s “Stir it Up” remix is one of his most significant musical endeavors to date. He compared his status as Ghana’s top rapper to how the country’s citizens see Bob Marley and reggae.

He is reported to have said;

“Many individuals believe that Bob Marley created reggae. Because Bob Marley is the only person who comes to mind when you think about reggae. That serves as the standard that the guys use. The same is true when it comes to Sarkodie’s rap.

I’ve been sucked into every conversation back in Ghana for no apparent reason. That resembles the person they use. What I mean by rap is that I’m like Bob Marley.

Then then, he claimed that being asked to contribute a verse to a song by Bob Marley caught him off surprise.
