‘Stop using the Papano issue as an excuse to punish me,’ Mzbel writes to Mahama

“Papano,” one of the most viral sagas, was filmed somewhere in Ghana in 2020. It swept the country, with Ghanaians interested in every nugget of information that surfaced.

Actress Tracey Boakye and musician Mzbel got into a furious argument about this phrase. In their individual quests to ‘Show Body,’ the two personalities got dirty on each other.

The issue did have a negative impact on the NDC’s John Mahama, who was then accused of being the ‘Papano’ these two ladies were fighting over, and it contributed to his loss in the 2020 national elections.

When we thought we’d never hear that name again, Mzbel (one of the parties engaged in the ‘Papano’ battle) has brought it up once more.

Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, also known as Mzbel, has requested “Mr President” to cease punishing her over the scandal in a clever but incoherent tweet.

According to her, “Mr President” owes her money and has chosen to ignore her six-year-old demands.

The musician and the clearly troubled socialite implored “Mr President” to be a man of his words and follow through on his commitment to settle the loan.

Though she didn’t name the person she referred to as “Mr President” in her tweet, some have speculated that Mzbel is sending her message to Mahama, citing the fact that his (Mahama’s) name was referenced the most during the 2020 saga.

She wrote “Mr. President, I’ve been humble, considerate, quite and patient enough, so stop using this “Papanpo” issue as an excuse to punish me! When I have to chase people for what they owe me it gets ugly! Be a man of your word…. its been almost 6years already!”
