W/R: Wassa Agona police arrested four suspects for robbery and murder.

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Wassa Agona in the Western Region, four people were arrested by police after they attacked a filling station and murdered a security   guard.

The suspects, Francis Ebuka, Wisdom Justway, Samuel Chibuzor, and Kinglsy Okechuku alias Kofi Kingsly, beat the fuel attendants severely during the robbery and made off with an undisclosed sum of money, the filling station’s CCTV digital video recorder (DVR), and the victims’ cell phones.

Francis Ebuka, Wisdom Justway, and Samuel Chibuzor, who were fleeing the site of the robbery on a motorcycle, were apprehended by police patrol teams who had pulled up within the catchment area and arrived at the scene during the operation.

Following a search of them, a black hood, a handbag containing two cellphones, and twenty thousand, seven hundred and twenty-two Ghana cedis (GH20,722.00) was found.

Kingsly Okechuku, the fourth suspect, was tracked by the police team to a hotel close to Bogoso, where they were able to retrieved from him a sum of money believed to be part of their loot, forty-four thousand, eight hundred and fifty-two cedis (GH 44,852.00).

Other items found on the suspects include two pinch bars, a Ghana Card belonging to one of the victims, and the DVR components of the CCTV installation that were stolen by the suspects.

All four suspects are currently in police custody and will be prosecuted after being arraigned in court.

However, the police have assured the public that they are working nonstop to keep the community secured.
