All schools in Ghana were closed down in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and school children were asked to stay in the house.

School children have in the house for almost ten months now and they were asked to start a new academic year today, Monday 18th January 2021 by the Ghana Education Service.

Reopening of schools today has seen a lot of things as school children from lower, upper primary and Junior High Schools accross the country in both public and private schools observed my first day at school.

As part of Covid-19 protocols which is to be observed in all schools abeens mandated by the government of Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service, most schools also insisted that all their students wear nose masks.

A picture trending on social media today is a young primary student who used paper as nose mask in order not to contract the virus should in case he comes into contact with another person carrying the virus.
