The veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has explained why she chose not to remarry after losing her spouse according to a report from Vanguard News.
In the year 2000, the actress suffered the loss of her husband. Uchendu Ozokwor, Chioma Nnenna Lameya Ani, and Nduka Ozokwor are the three children of her marriage. Since she lost her husband, the actress has been unable to get married again.
The veteran actress insisted that she hasn’t remarried despite the fact that her husband passed away several years ago. She claimed that during a talk with Mercy Johnson, she inserted that her children advised her not to get married again.
My children were old enough to implore me not to get married again so their friends wouldn’t make fun of them, but I still wanted to. She claimed to understand what her children meant when they said they would marry her.
I wanted to get married again, but my children, who were now of legal age, begged me not to, saying they would be my husband instead.
My kids urged me to continue being single so that their peers wouldn’t tease them about the fact that their mother remarried when they were their age, and I agreed. They were being self-centered, but I paid a very high price for them because nothing is too expensive for my family.
