Akufo-Addo will meet with Christian Atsu’s family today to finalize the funeral’s last rites.

Today, the family of the late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu will meet with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The main purpose of the meeting is to organize the former Black Stars player’s funeral rites.

We will visit the President on Monday,” Mustapha Yussif, the minister of youth and sports, informed the media. The plan that the family presented to the Ministry and GFA would then be made public because it is dependent upon the president’s approval. To ensure a respectable funeral, a committee has also been formed to plan it.

The government has promised to work closely with the family to ensure that Atsu is buried respectfully.

Before to the late footballer’s final funeral rites, deliberations were concluded last Friday between the Atsu family, officials of the Ghana Football Association, and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif.
