GHANAIAN JOURNALISTS AGAINST LGBTI GHANA TO DEMONSTRATE AGAINST THE PRESENCE OF LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER AND QUEER INTERSEX (LGBTI) IN GHANA.

We write to register our intense displeasure and disgust against the presence of the LGBTGI rights group and the brazen support of the European Union (EU) in opening the new community space of the group in the country.

It is such a disrespect to our preserved and much revered morals and religious beliefs which hugely frowns on same sex relations and I therefore, call for a demonstration to express my displeasure and petition the President to close the LGBTI office in Ghana and declare the LGBTI “illegal and immoral”.

We also want to add our voices to the high-profile and well-meaning Ghanaians who have stood against such a group in the country and consequently call for a comprehensive legislation by Parliament to deal with the presence of such groups.

We therefore, use this missive to call on all Ghanaians to join us in the demonstration on Wednesday, 24th February, 2021 from 6am to 12 noon from the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, Circle Obra Spot through to the seat of Government at Jubilee House.

Thank you.
Signed
