A lady aged 25 who was allegedly raped by a taxi driver and his conductor has confirmed that she is HIV positive.
This incident occurred in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on Monday, March 1. Talking to one security agent the lady said was afraid to reveal her HIV status the rapists because she thought they might have shoot her.
The lady was found in a cane field by Reaction Unit SA (Rusa) officers where the rapists purportedly unloaded her. A police representative Captain Nqobile Gwala affirmed the incident and said that the case has been reported to the Verulam police headquarters.
The police likewise deliberately kept the lady’s personality covered up.
“It is alleged by the complainant that [on Monday] at 2.30 pm she stopped a taxi near the Moses Mabhida Stadium as she was going to KwaDukuza.
While the taxi was on the N2 Sibaya turn off‚ the conductor covered her mouth while [the driver] pointed a firearm at her. The victim was then raped by the suspects before they left her on the side of the road” :said the police officer.
