Alan Kyerematen steps down as Trade and Industry minister – Report

Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry

John Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry, is said to have resigned from the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to Joy FM in Accra, the former diplomat tendered his resignation on January 5, 2023, and it was accepted in principle by the president.

According to the report, he has been given a few days to complete his work and hand it over.

Alan is one of the leading candidates expected to run for the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Others include Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong, and Kwabena Agyepong, former NPP General Secretary.
