Driver speaks after a passenger dies in a Sprinter bus traveling from Kumasi to Mankessim. 
The anonymous individual, who showed no signs of illness, was escorted to the truck station on Friday, March 3, 2023, in the afternoon, and boarded a Benz sprinter bus with registration number As 1965-12. This information comes from Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan.
He was holding a piece of paper with a phone number printed on it as he sat in the first row of seats, immediately behind the driver.
The deceased, who was allegedly silent throughout the trip, did not get down to relieve himself or stretch his legs when the driver stopped the vehicle at Assin Fosu at the request of some passengers.
After approaching the vehicle and waiting by the window, a hawker who had been called by a passenger to buy bread recognized there was a problem with the deceased as they resumed their journey. The person appeared to be dead, she told the driver.
The driver then made a stop to examine the man. Only the deceased and the driver remained on the bus as other terrified passengers got off and boarded other buses to continue their journey.
After arriving back in Mankessim, the driver reported the event to the police so they could look into it further. Although the police inquiry is ongoing, the deceased’s body has been deposited at the Saltpond Government Hospital.
Unexpectedly, there have been a number of calls placed to the deceased’s phone number that have gone unanswered.
As a result, the police have appealed for assistance from the public in finding the deceased’s family.
