Two young Men who claimed to be members of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Queer Community, showed up in a birthday party in Gamashie (James Town) on 4th March, 2023. This happened in the evening.
While the party was going on, armed military men suddenly bage into the scene, stormed and disrupted the party.
Thereasons why the military men stormed the party are unknown. Some people in the party were injured and bled.
HajiaAkita, a gay man from James Town was the one who organized the party.
The party drew people who practices gay from different communities to the party ground according to eyewitnesses
Eyewitnesses also revealed that, although it was a party, it was on the verge of becoming a wedding ceremony if it hadn’t been for the intervention.
The soldiers are alleged to have assaulted some of the attendants
Some of the invitees described the incident as Unfortunate and Incredible.
