A sum of 105 suspects have been gathered together by the Tema Regional Police Command for resistance with the Government’s orders on the wearing of nose mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The four-hour activity around Tema Community One on January 20, 2021 is a move by the police to uphold the orders on the monitoring of the Covid-19 conventions.
The suspects, who were arrested doing their various jobs without wearing nose mask and paying little heed to the orders, were comprised of 9 ladies and 96 men inside the age sections of 17 to 64 years. Out of the complete number, 22 of them had no covers at all while 83 had the veils in their ownership yet woefully wouldn’t wear them. A portion of the suspects called companions and family members to bring them nose masks while in police custody.
All the suspects are at present being screened at the Command after which further move will be made. The Command requested that the overall population hold fast carefully to the Government’s mandates to abridge the dangerous infection if not to thoroughly annihilate it.
