Tariq Lamptey switches international allegiance from England to Ghana
Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has switched his international allegiance from England to Ghana ahead of 2022 FIFA World Cup this summer.

The 21 year old has previously played for the England Under-21 international team but has never represented the senior side.
He recently asked England U-21 coach Lee Carsley to be left out of the squad for the European U-21 Championship qualifying games because he is weighing up his international future.
Lamptey, who is a former Chelsea full-back – started 16 times for Brighton in the Premier League in the 2021-22 season and made a further 14 appearances as a substitute.
