Diamond Platnumz is considered influential among his fans, and is said to be the most loved and decorated artist in East and Central Africa at the moment.

Burna Boy who rose to prominence in 2012, after the release of his “Like to Party” Album has mastered his craft to become the shining star of the Nigerian entertainment industry coupled with sterling international accolades including a BET Award and a nomination in the 2020 Grammy Awards.

His expression of music which is Afrobeats has become a global trend and a genre he is championing for global recognition with other African artists.

Apart from being a singer and songwriter, Simi is also a sound engineer. She is credited with mixing and mastering Adekunle Gold’s debut studio album Gold, which was released in July 2016.

He is currently 22 years old. He is a versatile singer with the musical genre of R&B and Afro pop. He is one of the new artists that is fast rising to limelight within the Nigerian music industry.

He was crowned Artist of the Year and High-life Artist of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment,and is known for several songs of his, including “Angela”, “Wish Me Well”, “Ohemaa” and many others.

9. Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy on the other hand is a different kind of dancehall artiste. He comes across as the more versatile. The artist, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, made his big debut in 2012 and in about three years, he’d clinched the BET Award for Best International Act.

This brought him popularity previously unseen. Ghana-organized awards, in a bid to concretize his genius, gave him awards, many of which were under the genre of dancehall which he alongside some other artistes like Samini (Stonebwoy’s mentor) and Shatta Wale.

10. Master KG

Back in November, 2019, South African musician and record producer Kgaogelo Maogi, known professionally as Master KG, released his smash hit “Jerusalema” featuring Nomcebo Zikode.

The smash hit quickly went viral and garnered tremendous international success, and in December, Master KG followed up his summer hit with a music video.
