UER: Invest in award schemes to encourage individuals and organisations to contribute to national development -UEYFP
The Upper East Youth for Peace has stressed the need to support initiatives that seeks to reward personalities and organisation that have contributed to national development through their social contributions to humanity. It observed such initiatives will advance the course of social work that inject capital in the economy to help achieve the sustainable goals. In a statement, the Upper East Peace and Entertainment Awarding Board announced Saturday July 3 2021 as the date scheduled to reward individuals and organisations engaged in corporate social responsibilities in the Upper East Region.
The 2021 Upper East Peace and Entertainment Awards Night will be held at the GNAT Hall in Bolgatanga on the theme rewarding corporate social responsibility and peace building. The statement announced that ahead of the awards night, the board will pay courtesy call on some chiefs and queen mothers to officially unveil the constituted scheme. The organisers has called on concerned stakeholders to lend support to the award scheme by way of collaboration, partnership and sponsorship. The Award Scheme was launched on April 3, 2021 with filing for nomination officially ending on Monday May 10, 2021.
