Man arrested for stealing his girlfriend’s Bible and pillow in court after she refused to engage in sex.

After being arrested and brought before a court for stealing his girlfriend’s property, a young guy pleaded guilty to the crime. 

On Monday, January 30, Peter Otieno, a resident of Nairobi, Kenya, took his girlfriend’s Valentine Songore’s Bible, pillow, mat, and phone without her consent.

He admitted guilt to the charges of handling stolen property and theft.

Otieno appeared before the Senior Principal Magistrate Mary Njagi in the Makadara Law Courts, where he was informed of his charges.

The case’s briefs:

Otieno visited Songore’s house and asked for breakfast, the prosecution team informed the court.

The argument erupted after she declined his request for sex after he had finished his breakfast.

Songore was forced to leave the house after being slapped by Otieno.

Songore claimed that when she later went back to the house with a relative, she was unable to find several of her belongings.

Otieno insulted her when she inquired about the whereabouts of the items. She then made the decision to report the incident to the police.

The artifacts were found in Otieno’s possession after a two-day search of his house for them.

In other news, an Iranian court has sentenced two Instagram content producers to ten and a half years in prison for dancing in public and posting a video of it online.

The two inmates, Astiyazh Haghighi, 21, and Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, 22, are both full-time content makers on Instagram and are engaged with plans to wed. each have close to a million followers.

In October 2022, a video that led to their arrest was published online. It depicts them dancing on the street in Azadi Square, also known as “Freedom Square” and one of the locations of anti-government demonstrations in the capital. The square, which is also utilized by Iranians who support the government to remember the Iranian Revolution of 1979, is reputed to have been the historical epicenter of protests in Iran.

The pair was imprisoned on January 29 after Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court found them guilty of “encouraging corruption, assembly and cooperation with the goal of disturbing national security and spreading propaganda” against the Islamic Republic, according to sources.

On November 1, 2022, the two were allegedly unlawfully detained, denied access to a counsel, denied bail, and beaten by plainclothes police personnel.
