Daddy Lumba visits the IGP as a courtesy

The legendary Highlife artist Daddy Lumba recently paid Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police, a courtesy visit at his Accra headquarters.

On Wednesday, January 25,  the visitor arrived.

According to a post on his Facebook page, the purpose of the visit—the famed musician’s first to the headquarters since Mr. Dampare’s appointment—was to create tighter relations with the Police Service.

The two talked about how they may cooperate to advance peace while demonstrating the police’s outstanding achievements.

In addition, Daddy Lumba discussed other issues of national importance with the IGP and looked into opportunities for cooperation between the police and his radio station, DLFM.

In one of the photos, the two, who appeared to be the best of friends, could be seen giving one other a passionate hug.

The 58-year-old, who just dropped his newest single, “Ofon Na Edi Asem Fo,” also went on a tour of the freshly erected Police TV Station, which will soon be put into operation. He told the IGP that the station’s ultramodern setup had really impressed him.

Dr. Dampare received praise from the speaker for his brave and inspiring imaginative leadership.

COP Mrs. Habiba Twumasi Sarpong, COP Mr. Yohuno, COP Mr. Adu Anim HRD, and SUPT Grace Ansah were present at the meeting.
